Auto Coverage
Auto Coverage is about protecting your own vehicle and it has 2 parts: “Comprehensive” and “Collision”. This type of coverage is optional.
Comprehensive coverage
repairs or replaces your vehicle for reasons other than a collision such as theft, vandalism, fire or hitting an animal etc.
Collision coverage
repairs or replaces your vehicle after an accident.
When you choose these coverage, you choose a “deductible”. The deductible is the amount of money you pay out of pocket to repair or replace your vehicle.
The more you are willing to pay out of pocket, the lower you pay for this coverage.
For Example:
*Comp - $500
*Coll - $1000
This example means you have the coverage IF there is a dollar amount next to it and the dollar amount is the amount you pay before insurance takes care of the rest. IF there is no dollar amount next to the coverage you DO NOT have the coverage
Driver’s Coverage
This insurance is called “Liability” and it is an amount of money (you choose) available to pay your legal defense and settlement when you are responsible for someone else’s injuries, lost wages, pain and suffering and damage to their property.
